Joe Murphy founded Portman Graphic Limited 1988. Since it’s founding, Portman has provided high quality equipment to the printing industry within Ireland and to the worldwide market.

Portman have been a success when times were good and even when not so good by doing the basic things right, that being, looking after our customers. Portman began its existence supplying used bookbinding and print finishing equipment and quickly moved into the supply of new finishing equipment to compliment the used. After several years of success selling Muller Martini, Stahl, MBO, Busch, Shoei, MB, Bobst, Jagenberg to name some of our new and used specialties Portman added Komori printing presses to its arsenal.

The introduction of new and used Komori Presses, with Portman has proved and incredible success. For over a decade the sales of the excellent Komori product, have been and continue to be the envy of our competitors, seeing Komori become the popular choice of Irish printers. Portman and Komori continue to be the largest supplier of new sheet fed and web presses to the Irish market. The reason for this success is no secret, it is the result of an excellent product, competitive pricing and after sales backup and customer care which has never been rivalled in our market.

Now on our twentieth birthday our core business of used bindery and presses is still at the forefront of our minds. Our pride in representing our principals such as Komori, Busch, MB, Iberica, Vega is as strong as ever and our used machinery business is growing exponentially. Portman have and will continue to specialise in new and used bindery, presses, carton and box making equipment.
